GREENFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT FEASIBILITY STUDY* - Greenfield, MA, USA
  • Site Area: 1.5 Acres
  • Existing Bldg. Area: 19,000 sq.ft.
  • Renovation Cost Estimate: $1,300,000

The current police station is in poor condition and operating inefficiently. Our firm’s mandate was to prepare a feasibility study to analyze the community and police statistics in order to determine staff and space requirements. Further, an existing municipal building was analyzed with respect to renovations for potential police operations. The space programme was planned within this facility where the internal wall arrangements were modified to suit the most efficient police operations as well as adhering to the building code regulations. Mechanical, electrical and structural considerations were also taken into account with necessary modifications recommended. Further, the site was planned for the visitor and police parking as well as for suspect processing. A cost estimate was prepared for budget purposes.
